Prathna Initiative is a non-government organisation that approaches the task of service professionally. Working on a large scale needs enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who work well together to create change in society. Working at Prathna provides opportunities for getting hands-on experience in the field: managing events, coordinating people, developing communication skills, inventory management, brainstorming discussions, data documentation, cataloguing activities, handling social media accounts, writing content, and much more. Basic information to know before form submission:

  • Filling out the form doesn’t mean you are a volunteer at the Prathna Initiative Foundation. Our team will contact you for application validation, after which there will be an orientation session for becoming a volunteer at Prathna Initiative Foundation.
  • It is mandatory for every person to undergo the orientation session to be a Prathna Initiative Foundation volunteer.
  • After you fill out the form, it will take roughly 2 weeks for our volunteer relations team to contact you due to the large number of applications. So please kindly bear with us.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all administrative procedures and oversee day-to-day functions.
  • Monitor operating expenses and streamline management systems.
  • Making changes to increase efficiency in the workplace and providing coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Documentation and related works such as newsletters, audits, and analyzing financial data.
  • Maintains the organization’s administrative policies and procedures.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and partners.
  • Inspecting project sites, nurseries, and warehouses periodically

  • Responsible for strategizing and managing the civic volunteering program to scale the program 10x over the next 2–3 years.
  • Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization with co-directors.

The candidate will be responsible for developing corporate relationships and implementing the strategy for partnership growth and success, including a strategy for processes such as partner onboarding, management, and reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage and build corporate relationships and ensure engagement throughout the year.
  • Promotes the vision and objectives of our strategic plan to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Keep a great ongoing relationship with current partners and supporters, and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
  • Develops strategic partnership-building approaches with government, donors, civil society, corporations, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures excellent relations with key government partners and puts in place systems that maintain them.
  • Proposal preparation and submission based on the needs and deal closure.
  • Closely monitoring corporate requirements and coming up with solutions accordingly.
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-branded content promotions and marketing.

An accountant is responsible for finance-related tasks that are primarily associated with preparing, organizing, and maintaining financial records and ensuring financial statements are accurate.

Job Description:

  • Receive and process all invoices, expense forms, and requests for payments. 
  • Tally data entry, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, bank reconciliation statements, and the preparation of debtor and creditor statements. 
  • Creating periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements .
  • Handling petty cash and preparing bills and receipts.
  • Organise, compile, and maintain all accounting records and financial filing documents.
  • Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Knowledge of returns for NGO, FCRA, e-TDS, service tax, profession tax, GST accounting, and filing.

Qualification Required:

  • Preferred background: B.Com., M.Com., or C.A. practitioner.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations, procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards.
