MHH (Menstrual Health & Hygiene)

“To create a world where menstrual health is de-stigmatized and every individual has access to comprehensive menstrual health education, resources, and support, empowering them to manage their menstruation with dignity and confidence”.

“Our mission is to promote menstrual health hygiene awareness and advocacy, ensuring that people having menstruations of all ages and backgrounds have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to manage menstruation safely, hygienically, and with dignity.”

We are Committed to..

Providing comprehensive menstrual health education programs in schools, communities, and healthcare settings to raise awareness about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and menstrual disorders, promoting open dialogue and de-stigmatization.

Ensuring access to affordable, sustainable menstrual products such as sanitary pads, menstrual cups, and reusable cloth pads, particularly for marginalised and underserved populations, to address barriers to menstrual hygiene management.

Promoting menstrual health as an integral component of overall health and well-being, advocating for access to menstrual health services, including menstrual hygiene products, reproductive health care, and menstrual pain management.

Empowering menstruators to advocate for their rights and needs, including access to menstrual health education, products, and facilities, and challenging cultural taboos and social norms that perpetuate menstrual stigma and discrimination.

Supporting research initiatives and innovative solutions in menstrual health management, including product development, menstrual tracking apps, and community-based interventions, to improve menstrual health outcomes and address unmet needs.

Advocating for the development and implementation of policies and legislation that promote menstrual health and hygiene, including menstrual leave policies, gender-sensitive sanitation facilities, and menstrual health education in schools.

Engaging communities, religious leaders, policymakers, healthcare providers, and NGOs in dialogue and action on menstrual health, fostering partnerships and collaboration to create supportive environments for menstrual health awareness and advocacy.

Recognizing the intersectionality of menstrual health with other social determinants, including gender, socioeconomic status, disability, and cultural factors, and ensuring that menstrual health programs and policies are inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all.

Through our collective efforts to advance menstrual health hygiene awareness and advocacy, we aim to break the silence surrounding menstruation, eliminate stigma and discrimination, and promote menstrual health as a fundamental human right.
